CET 2010 - GD Topic

Aloha Folks,

Now that the CET GD/PI sessions are in full swing, I will try to upload the GD topics and interview questions from the actual sessions as and when I get to hear of the same.

The topic for today was one of the topics of discussion yesterday:

Cricket has lost its sheen in India.

I would request you guys to use the Idea Generation techniques and key in one/two points per comment.

Looking forward to a good GD.

Ciao

Gautam

  1. Cricket has definitely lost its sheen in India, thanx to its commercialization ! Nowadays its more of a biz.Gone r those days wen ppl used to sit and njoy patiently a 50 ovr match tat now tey demand 20-20. Even the cricketers arent tat dedicated.Which is quite apparent since "sum" criketers have time and health to play in an IPL but not in the WORLD CUP which represents his own country..Yes definetly cricket has lost its sheen in India!

  2. TRUE!!Cricket has lost its sheen in India. Thanks to IPL!!! These days people are least interested in wathching an ODI or TEST cricket, they want quick results. Even players get retired from national game earlier than their age of retirement to play in IPL and we can never blame them because they are paid more in the latter version of the game and that too by playing for a short period of time. But on the other side we can also see that more children have started training themselves in this game in order to get in to big sensational league like IPL!!!

  3. well cricket is certainly tumbling in india mainly coz 2days players are more interested in IPL...but players like sachin are still holding the age old legacy of cricket..but bcci should take care dat younger generations of cricketers shuld be properly trained so dat they can play test, one day and the way they performed 20-20 also

  5. IPL has taken cricket to the next level. It’s not just a game anymore. The cricket audience has also increased. There is more opportunity for young players. Just because the number of over has decreased to 20 we can’t say that cricket has lost its sheen in India. However, it is important that cricketers should keep them fit for other matches also mentally and physically.
