They also give you an 80/- coupon to be redeemed at canteen. (Y didn't they give a box of eatable instead, was easy...) Anyways.... That's it and again waiting till they ask you to go upstairs on 6th floor (No lifts boss!!!! can u fly up?????)
2. GROUP DISCUSSION TOPICS : India needs more Medical colleges than B-school....

3. GD DISCUSSION AND EXPERIENCE.
When i entered the room there were 2 panels... 1 male(25-2 and a female (around 30) and the male panel only gave us the instructions and every thing... and 3 min to jot points and 15 min to discuss and 30 sec each to summarize...
Finally got an opportunity to begin the GD and started it at a good note of giving the importance of doctors and managers... and than I was hoping for sm1 to tk over... no1 did... I said all the points i wrote on 1 instant talked of health and smthing else also... and now no more points left and was shouting "Arre no1 wants to speak kya!!!!" Luckily i stopped and a girl started... if she wud not hv was gone.... and we discussed abt medical collges, life of docs vs. life of managers... and everything but the colleges.... but don't think we were sooo--- off track.... and than we all concluded....
After we came out I realised others had a bad time @GD coz the topics were tuff... with one of the groups, the topic given was so bounced off no1 in the group had 1% idea abt it....
4 ESSAY TOPICS AND EXPERIENCE.
Journey in a crowded 2nd class of a train smthing.... Really cool expereince I thot the 1st time I travelled in the 2nd class coach and jotted down my experience... I think 15 min is more than enuf coz we have a max of 200 words limit so that's around a page... (Shorter than XAT i guess but simpler also....)
I asked 1 of the frnd, she got Rainy day smthing....
5. PERSONAL INTERVIEW EXPERIENCE.
2interviewer... M1(male-50+) M2(male-40 around)
they did TP.... I dunno why it always happens with me...
i forgot what's a billion and they grilled me for that...
the only thing they really asked me i think was 3 uses of IT for general public... i gave 2 uses and 3rd at a later stage....

M1- ab+ba=smthing give me values and all.... I gave correct answer.. and than he laid the trap, confused me... and i was so stupid, i walked into it making a fool of myself which i realised much later )
M2- look at this figure... how many billions are they? there were 2 figures... 10Lacs... and 1Cr... and i said this 1's 1 million and i dunno d concept of billion, sorry....
Both : Laughing...
That was the end of my patience.... They mocked me whole interview and this time i was so furious i back answered in a polite manner although ki millions and billions are generally used by US people and we Indians use Lacs and Crores and that's the only reason I do not know much of billion but i took care to read abt the million since its the recently used word....
atleast they stopped their laughs and came back to the normal smiles may be convinced with my argument....
Had a real bad time here

There were a 105 entries for this quiz as opposed to 166 for the quiz on Current Affairs. Was it because the questions were so tough or was it because history is not exactly everyone’s favourite topic??? But the number of all-correct entries suggests that I probably made it a bit too tough. What say? Lemme know your opinion in the comments section and I will work on the level of difficulty accordingly.

And now to the people who have got all the answers right:
Jino Peechanatt
vaibhav katiyar
Anmol Sharma
Ratan Rajpurohit

Swara
Very well done and looking forward to the same level of performance next time too.

Student 1:

GDPI date: 1st june 2010
GDPI scheduled: 2:00 pm
Reporting time: 1:00 pm

I reached the college by 12:30. There i was told to wait until 1:00. AT 1:00, the students were told to stand in a queue and register themselves for the gdpi and get their exact timetable(which group and which panel and the timings etc etc) for the gdpi.

I got the following timings:

2:15 - Essay Writing (15 mins time 200 words essay)
(Topic - Management Institute of my dream)

3:15 - Group Discussion( topic - Oldage homes are now become necessary in today's Indian context. My gd was just fine, not great. Had 2 very strong speakers who kept on intervening each other, but the good point was that the panel asked each one of us to present their views at the end so that everyone got a chance to speak)

3:45 - Personal Interview(2 PI panels in their middle ages. Gave me a warm welcome. The only difference in this PI round from other PI's was that, here, the PI panel emphasized a lot on academics and how much i recollected my previous acads, to which i had no answer. Brushed up my physics knowledge and part of mathematics (for example, by asking me to tell the method for finding squareroot of 10). Also asked me from my graduation background, asked about my aim, what i would be after 5 years, about my hobbies, and also about recent news.)

4:15 - Document verification( Here, we had to just verify our original documents of 10th, 12th and graduation(and also if anybody has secured prizes at national/state/university level, then those certificates, and work-ex, as the profile of the candidate says). All this just took some time and it was smooth.

Student 2:
1st june 2010 - DALMIYA GDPI

GD TOPIC- Grow trees to curb pollution

ESSAY WRITING- THE DAY I WILL LIKE TO FORGET.
Timing 15 minutes

Different section for document verification.
