Hi Folks,
I have a question this time. Do you guys know which are the words that have entered the English lexicon because of the Freedom Struggle? If you do know any, feel free to post them in the Comments section.

Hey Manish,
ReplyDeleteI was looking for words that have originated because of the Freedom Movement. Rather than those words that have entered the English language merely before 1947.
While the wonderful list that you have put together is of course all Indian words, I suspect they have not entered the lexicon because of the freedom Struggle. ;-)
Why don't you give this another shot... I am sure you will be able to come up with a few.
