Let’s look at the words which originate from the root word “daktylos”. Daktylos is a Greek word which means “finger or toe”

A fingerprint.
Dactylography or Dactyloscopy:
The study of fingerprints for identification purposes.
Dactylonomy:
The art of counting on fingers.
Dactylology:
Finger-speech – i.e. communicating by signs made with fingers.
Dactyliomancy:
Divination (Prediction) by means of finger rings.
Dactylioglyph:
1. An engraver of gems for rings and other ornaments.
2. The inscription of the engraver's name on a finger ring or gem.
