And I am back

Aloha Folks,

A very Happy, Successful and Rockin New Year to all you folks.

It has been a long long time since I mailed you last. A host of you have already taken the CAT and other exams and have had fun or otherwise while doing so. We now have a new batch that is all set to follow in your footsteps.

And during the time I was AWOL interesting things have happened in Copenhagen, to Woods I meant of the Tiger variety and we seem on the cusp of another state in the Indian Union. Quite a lot to miss out on by not sending across emails. ;-) I feel like a Rip Van Winkle.

A quick reason to why I stopped sending these mails. I fell ill and was quite unwell for about a week and once I recovered I fell LAZY. It took quite a while to re-charge myself.

Anyway down to brass tacks.

First up since a majority of you are already through with CAT and a few other exams please let me know if you are still interested in receiving these emails. If you are not interested just reply to this mail with a one word message – “unsubscribe”. That would do. I will pull you out of the mailing list. Of course, if you are still interested in receiving the emails I would be delighted to send them across to you.

Hmmmm …. Now that I have returned what do I start out with? Aah ….. er … um… Man I am blank.

How about the word “return” itself. Let’s explore that.

And finally, an idiom:

Do a Melba

To make repeated farewell appearances ( Australian slang)

From Dame Nellie Melba, stage name of Helen Porter Mitchell (1861-1931), an Australian operatic soprano who conducted a series of "farewell" appearances. In effect returning from retirement again and again.

On that note

Ciao
