Today’s post is the one that I have most enjoyed putting together. I had a tough time figuring out which word to include and which one to omit. In fact all of the words today sound so funny that you might have difficulty in believing that they are actual words in the English language. But they are. And here they are for your knowledge and fun.
boo-boo:
A stupid or silly mistake; blunder.
chi-chi:
Showily or affectedly elegant or trendy; pretentious
gee-gaw:
Something gaudy and useless
mumbo-jumbo:
Unintelligible or incomprehensible language; gibberish or A complicated or obscure ritual.
tittle-tattle:
Gossip or foolish chatter

ReplyDeleteIt has some mumbo-jumbo but you will agree that there is no hocus-pocus here in these posts. And if you hand'nt asked to be forgiven I would have thought that you were getting a bit hoity-toity by pooh-poohing the post!! But then that is not the case is it? Anyway it is better to be hoity-toity than to be namby-pamby. Hope to have you folks go ga-ga over the next post.
